Sanctuary
“Rather than being consumed by systems designed to exhaust us, we reclaim space for restoration, cultural resilience, and collective care.
Our liberation lives in healing.”
GRGF is devoted to creating a sanctuary where families can reconnect with the land, nourish their bodies, and engage in transformative collective healing. Rooted in a holistic approach, our work weaves together sustainable farming, earth-based educational workshops, family strengthening skill building, wellness tradition sharing, and immersive retreats to foster intergenerational healing, cultural restoration, and “back to the land” self sufficiency skill advancing.
Our new homebase is a 24-acre farm in Avon, Maine - a vision years in the making through a long-term collaboration with Land in Common. This space will serve as a hub for land-based healing, outdoor wilderness education, agricultural learning, and wellness-centered community gatherings. While GRGF’s land-based learning site is newly established, our programming is built on years of experience in outdoor education, community-based learning, land stewardship, cultural education, youth engagement, and higher education collaboration.
Our long-term vision is to cultivate a thriving community where families strengthen our relationship with our children, alternative health, with each other, and with the earth. Through this work, we aim to inspire a movement rooted in cultural knowledge-keeping, community wellness, ecological balance, and conscious living.
